Description

Welcome to Once Upon A Tide, a beach house with a private pool that’s been totally remodeled from top to bottom, front to back. Here, you actually get two separate properties in one, with loads of outside space to enjoy, stunning views of the Gulf, and just a short walk to the beach--less than 450 feet away!

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS (SLEEPS 20)

• MOTHER-IN-LAW SUITE
The ground floor is a mother-in-law suite that’s not connected to the rest of the house. This means this can be a great choice for a big group who wants to be together but also needs some separate private space for up to 6 people.

The suite features a living room with its own smart TV, plus a gloriously comfortable sofa that converts into a queen sleeper. There’s a kitchen too, so you can cook meals and tuck away snacks whenever you want to. The suite features two bedrooms. The master has a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom has a full over full bunk bed (limit of 100 lbs).

• SECOND & THIRD FLOORS
Accessed by a set of stairs to either side of the house, here is another totally self-contained apartment with an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen that’s a great space in which everyone can gather.

There are a trio of sofas in the living area (1 of which is a sleeper sofas), all offering up great views of the smart TV. Nearby is the dining table, an ideal space for meals (of course) but also card and board games and even work if someone has the assignment to complete during your stay.

There are 3 bedrooms, the master having a king-sized bed plus an ensuite bathroom. There are two guest rooms too with 3 beds between them. What better way to start a new day than opening your bedroom doors and letting the fresh air of the morning in?

This section of the house connects to what’s sure to be a popular feature with everyone - a crow’s nest room up on the third floor. As crow’s nests go, it’s a very large one, with spectacular views of the Gulf that photos don’t really do justice. It’s great fun sleeping up here too on the twin day bed or the trundle that’s underneath.

• OUTSIDE
Huge porches at the front and back of the house, and plenty of deck space give you room to relax in the shade and enjoy the views. You’ll also find a ping pong table, so why not arrange a tournament during your stay and see who’s the table tennis champion? The balcony has yet more seating, this time out in the open, so ideal for sun worshippers.

What’s sure to be the most popular feature outside the house is the private swimming pool which can be heated upon request. Enjoy a dip first thing, or a relaxing cool down as the day heats up. There are plenty of recliners around the pool on which you can dry off and maybe finish that book you picked up at the airport.

**Pool heat is an additional charge per stay. Please note that the pool heat will only get 5-10 degrees warmer than the outside temp and that if the outside temp drops below 50 degrees the heater will shut itself off as a safety feature. It will turn itself back on once the outside temp is at least 55 degrees consistently. Please contact the office for pricing.

• PARKING
Big groups are going to need plenty of parking space. And you get no less than 5 spaces here, all close to the house so you won’t have far to carry your bags when you get here.

Beautiful home. Great for families. The location was perfect. We were out of the super busy area but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. The beach was gorgeous. Nice to have toys like ping pong table and board games. We loved the different porches on each level. Pool was great too! Would definitely stay again.

Great location on 30A, directly across the street from beach access, and Seaside is walking distance which was great for the older kids. Enjoyed having the upstairs and downstairs completely separated from each other, it allowed others in the group some privacy.

Everything was just as described, clean and comfortable. We did ask maintenance to come out and check a tv or two. Their guy was very knowledgeable and prompt. Only complaint would be that TV in the bunk room downstairs was only good for streaming and the wifi wasn't strong enough the majority of the time to run a movie. That tv with grandkids (who were used to watching TV as they went to sleep!) should have had tv shows, cable, dish, whatever, available but did not.<br/>Other than that, very satisfied and happy with our home for the week. Pool was great, perfect temp!

wondeful location. tons of room to spread out. we had three families each with 2 children and all boys in the 8-5 yr old range and they had plenty of room inside and out to play, explore, and swim in the pool. we were just across the street from the beach so the location could not have been better. maintenance responded to two small issues within half an hour and they checked in via text everyday. price was very fair and would highly recommend.

Great accommodations for a large family and excellent location...beach access is just across the street! Just be aware that bunks have a 100 lb this can be a bit limiting for teen/preteen kiddos.

We rented this house for a family vacation in July 2022. The house had ample space for 6 adults and 6 children but the property needs some TLC. The overall property outside property needs to be cleaned up. I side also needs some attention: handles on cupboard/ closet doors are missing or falling of, towel ring in second floor bathroom is falling off wall, toilet paper holder in same bathroom need a different placement, same bathroom needs a new shower head, screens on third floor are ripped, first floor dryer does not turn off even when you open the dryer door, floors need a thorough cleaning, silver ware drawer on second floor needs adjustment. There are tvs in bedroom but only work if you have a gaming system. The sump pump also went off in the middle of the night after an overnight rain and the repair person didn’t come until late afternoon the next day. We have rented other vacation houses in other city locations (Hilton Head) and this particular rental property was more expensive but much less acceptable.
It is unfortunate that you feel this way because our #1 priority is to make sure our guests are pleased with Blue Swell's services. We are glad that the property was spacious enough for your family. We have made notes about the issues in the unit and have addressed them.

We had 10 adults & 6 children. There was room for everyone to sleep, it would have been a little cramped if there were more I think. 22 people is a push, IMO. The pool was a lot of fun, everyone loved it. There is a Weber grill on site that we used and enjoyed. There are two couches, two occasional chairs in the main common area with the tv. That’s seating for approx. 8 on a raining day or in the evening when the family is all together. We used dining chairs, bar stools & the floor....not to comfortable. With all that said, we would probably stay again.

This rental was just what the doctor ordered for our fam! Last minute change of plans but found this well suited home and it was ideal! Amazing location in Seagrove! Pool was heated and despite colder than norm weather our kids got to swim in mid-January! House setup was perfect for us! Definitely want to return! Thank you!

The house has a lot of potential, but currently needs a lot of TLC. Location is convenient to public beach access and also has a good bit of privacy since it is off of 30A. Not enough space here to list all issues ... so just a few examples: signs of water damage on most ceilings, house smelled like air had not circulated in weeks (had to buy candles to get through first night), several lights out, dead batteries in smoke detectors, no batteries in remote controls. A lot of this could be easily addressed, but the property management company doesn't seem to be very engaged. Contacted them and they did respond, but never showed up ... said they would check with the maintenance team ... still have not heard back. We've stayed in other properties with similar price points which are far superior. It's a shame since this could be a really great house.

The home itself needs a lot of updating, esp the outside. Cleanliness was another issue. Walls, furniture, etc were nasty. The outside was a mess upon arrival, including the pool. However, the location is amazing! And it sleeps a large crew. When mentioning the issues we had, we were not offered anything at all, except for them to make aure it was cleaner in the future. I would stay again just for the location, but thats about it

The house was clean and had more than enough towels for everyone in the party we had. The house was updated on the inside and was very nice with accommodating everyone. <br/><br/>The outside of the house needs ALOT of work. The pool was dirty and not cleaned but was still useable-this May have been due to the hurricane that came the week before-but it should have still be checked before we got there and it didn’t look like it had. <br/><br/>The stairs are VERY unstable on the outside of the house, especially when wet. The downstairs section of the house smelled moldy and was VERY musty and humid-I guess this could be due to the hurricane that came as well. <br/><br/>Overall, the house was in good condition and everyone was very happy with the house. We had a good time and enjoyed the stay. I would refer someone to this home, but just tell them to be careful with the outside, pool, stairs, and deck. <br/><br/>It is a duplex and there is no way to get from downstairs to upstairs. Maybe put this in the description of the house for future rentals. We had a good stay and enjoyed it. Thank you!! We will use again.

Wonderful property. It was so easy to get to the beach. It’s 1 mile from Seaside in an area with just houses so beach was not crowded compared to other areas we have stayed with condos nearby. Loved the duplex as we had the upstairs 3/2 while the in-laws had the bottom unit. The pool was large for a rental home with plenty of seating.The stairs to get to third floor are a little hard but fine once we got used to them.Would definitely book this unit again.

Great location. House is starting to need a little TLC and could have used a better cleaning beforehand. I never fails to amaze me how many beach houses have few to no towel racks, how is this a thing? The master bath could easily fit and use 2 to 4 towel racks, it currently has... ZERO. Overall a good house, just a little weird that the stairs are only outside.

Amazing house, with minor mx needs. Trees have grown onto the house. Someone thought of shell bureau handles, shell pavers, immediate hot water showers, crows nest is epic, and more. Clean grounds, cut away buggy trees, paint pool bottom, fix fence, remove vines from a/c, etc. spray hard for bugs. Hard spray <br/>The owner is an artist on making this house a must stay. His/her mx crew let <br/>them down. Cleaning crew was the best ever, but about $2k I’m mx costs would make this place a 5 star must stay

We stayed at Once Upon a Tide with a group of 20 people. We loved the ability to walk to restaurants and shops but also feel like it was "just us" at the house. Having our own pool was nice and we did pay extra for heat since it was March. It is an easy walk across the street to the beach. Having 2 separate living/sleeping areas provided the separation we needed for our group. We mainly cooked and ate meals on the 2nd floor, but having the extra full size kitchen was a bonus. The upstairs kitchen was well stocked with multiple size skillets and at least 3 stock pots. You never know what you'll get with a rental but we found what we needed. The bathroom towels were extremely nice and we loved the extra touches provided like soaps, lotions and shampoos. It made it feel like we arrived at a resort instead of a rental. The stairs to the 3rd floor are different but no one in our group had a problem with them. Just look at the pictures and you'll know what to expect. We did call maintenance out once to fix a problem with outlets not working. They were prompt and professional. We would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

This house was perfect for our group of friends/families. The house was very clean and had a very private feel. Kids have enjoyed the pool. Approximately 5 min walk to the beach and had several restaurants and a store nearby. This is a great place and would highly recommend to any large group visiting the Seagrove area.

Everything about this place is amazing, and I can't say enough about it.The location is second to none, as it sits right across the street from the beach and is in walking distance to everything, including two great restaurants which are about a one minute walk or thirty second bike ride away.The interior was just remodeled, so it has a brand new feel and is very clean and spacious. The rooms and bathrooms are well appointed, unlike many \"beach\" houses, and the pool is wonderfully maintained and a great place to unwind after a day on the beach.My family and I look forward to returning to Seaside, and we have already looked into dates to book this property again before its too late.
